BP - Take this opportunity to tell them what you think!

Help! AF - STENA DEE

Your help would be appreciated in contacting BP in your country. As you may know we - the MVGP and the Rainbow C - are currently involved in an action against BP's 'West of Shetland' Foinaven oilfield, occupying a mobile drilling rig the Stena Dee.

It would be very helpful if you could send a brief letter to BP in your country, and inform the media in your country, asking for them to

  1. send the Stena Dee back to where it came from (ie for it not to go to the Foinaven field)

  2. undertake to stop further development work on the AF

  3. remove the FPSO Petrojarl Foinaven from the oil field and set a global precedent for not developing more oil, on grounds of climate change

  4. invest instead, in solar power or other renewables
