Greenpeace maintained a presence 'Essowatch' outside Esso's
offices in Victoria, from 25th of November 1997 until December 10th, the
last day of the Climate Summit in Kyoto. Exxon, Esso's parent company,
is a lead member in the industrial lobby trying to derail these
important climate talks. Each day at Essowatch illustrated a different
theme, ranging from Esso's part in the problems of climate change,
through to the solution to the problem in the form of renewable energy.
