I am writing to you for information about the Petrojarl Foinaven.

There are persistent rumours coming to my attention that the FPSO has suffered from severe technical problems, including (1) a cracked manifold which has had to be removed for replacement and/or for repair; and (2) oil leaking from one or more of the FPSO's subsea wellheads. Can you confirm the accuracy of these reports?

If there is a leak from the wellheads has this been formally reported? If so, to whom and on what date? Preferably you could let me have a copy of the formal report. What steps, if any, has BP been told to take as a result?

If the leak has not been formally reported, has it been informally reported? If so, to whom and on what date?

Can you please let me have details of the amount of oil which has leaked; whether or not the leak is continuous; if so how much oil is leaking per day and for how many days; and what steps BP is taking to control the same.
