I would be delighted if you could attend our 1997 Environmental Forum to be held at the Whitbread Brewery Conference Suite, Chiswell Street, London EC1 on Friday, 13th June. The Forum will start at 9 a.m., with registration/coffee etc. from 8.30 a.m. and finish after lunch at 2 p.m. If you are unable to attend in person, or feel it would be more appropriate if someone else from your organisation were to attend, please let us know. We are inviting 40 or so senior representatives of government, business, NGOs and media plus a number of BP managers. We plan to follow a similar format to last year's Forum, i.e. workshop style with plenty of time for roundtable discussions. Our aim is to tell you something about what we are doing, and to provide an opportunity to listen to your concerns and suggestions about how we can improve. In particular we would like to review our 1996 HSE performance, details of which will be published in HSE Facts at the end of May. A copy will be sent to you in advance of the Forum. We would also like to discuss the issue of global climate change. This is an issue of concern to us all, and we have been thinking about how we could do more to help find the right solutions. We will share our plans with you. If you are able to come could you please return the enclosed form as soon as possible. Yours sincerely,
